Victor Prior, the Regional Delegate of the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA), has issued a statement, saying that bad weather will affect the island again from Wednesday, although he was quick to point out that the weather conditions will not be as severe as last weekend.
Rain is predicted to fall on Wednesday from from early morning until late afternoon, with the worst of the weather occurring around midday. However, said Victor Prior, the situation is no longer as critical as was predicted eight days ago, and offers no cause for concern.
