Yesterday was a day of celebration, as the two surviving Covid-19 patients, who were flown to Madeira at the end of January are now back in Lisbon.
As the two patients, Paulo aged 58 and Adelaide aged 42, prepared to leave, they said their goodbyes they thanked all the staff and health professionals at the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital for everything that they have done to aid their recovery. Neither remember being flown by the Portuguese Air Force to Madeira and say that the last thing they remember is being placed on ventilators at the Beatriz Ângelo Hospital in Lisbon.
All three patients arrived in a critical condition, and unfortunately, the third patient died on the 9th of February.
