According to Ana Maria Gouveia, the nurse responsible for the vaccination co-ordination programme in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, a total of 21,000 people have or will be vaccinated under the current conditions. Unfortunately, due to a restriction on the number of vaccines issued to the region the health service cannot move as quickly as it would like.
At the moment, only those registered as a priority groups can be vaccinated against Covid-19.
According to this morning’s edition of JM (25/02), another batch of vaccines are due to arrive on Saturday.
