The second Covid-19 confinement period starts today, and will continue until the 21st of February.
The Regional Government Council of the PSD / CDS coalition, decided to extend the measures due to the increase in cases registered in Madeira, and as such, face-to-face classes and weekday/weekend curfews will remain in place.
To recap, until the 21st of February, the curfew remains in effect from Monday to Friday, between 19:00 and 05:00, and on weekends between 18:00 and 05:00.
Face-to-face classes in the 3rd cycle and in secondary schools are suspended. All industrial, commercial and service activities have to abide by the curfew hours.
The regional executive will allow restaurants to operate until 10 pm, exclusively for the preparation of home delivery meals.
Pharmacies, clinics, medical and veterinary offices, home oxygen and medical gases services and petrol stations (fuel only) are allowed to operate outside curfew hours.
