A man under the effect of ‘bloom’ had to be immobilised by Public Security Police (PSP) officers this morning after causing a disturbance at a housing complex in Funchal.
An ambulance and a pre-hospital team from the Portuguese Red Cross (CVP) were also on site to assist the 44-year-old man, who according to a police source, officers had to restrain before he could be assisted by the CVP and taken to hospital, as he was threatening his family and neighbours.
