The ORAM2021 proposal to reduce the amount of sugar, salt and trans fatty acids in foods has been approved by the Regional Government, under the ‘Promotion of Healthy Eating’ initiative.
In a statement, they said that, “In 2021, the Regional Government will approve a programme that will reduce the amount of sugar, salt and trans fatty acids, present in packaged foods, pre-cooked meals and those served cafeterias until 2023. These include public and private cafeterias, school meals and social services establishments.
