Market Night – Maybe, But Not As We Know It!

When questioned about the upcoming Christmas festivities, Miguel Albuquerque categorically stated this morning that “Market Night as we know it, will not take place!”

The leader of the Regional Government is currently working together with the Regional Health Authority to create a safe environment for Market Night to take place, however, he has not ruled out an alternative event should the situation be deemed too unmanageable.

With regard to the installation of stalls at Placa Central da Avenida Arriaga and Praça do Povo, the President reiterated that the sale of alcoholic beverages is forbidden, although regional products can be purchased to carry on the tradition of Christmas, provided everyone obeys the rules.
