Two examples of new innovative equipment devices which allow the safe transportation of patients with infectious diseases, including Covid-19, have arrived in Madeira.
The presentation of the new equipment, capsule BIO-BAG EBV – 30 / 40IN-CH, was held today, the 22nd of October, and attended by the Regional Secretary for Health and Civil Protection, Pedro Ramos. The BIO-BAG EBV – 30 / 40IN-CH Capsule is a mobile device that allows for the safe transportation of infected or suspected infected patients as well as immune-compromised patients to and from hospital. The capsule has 3 pairs of integrated gloves, connected to the chamber through special rings. The gloves are highly flexible, allowing health workers to treat the patient effectively, but safely.
