During the presentation of the ‘Madeira – Safe to Discover’ certificates to two of the Porto Bay Group Hotels – Cliff Bay and Les Suites at the Cliff Bay – Eduardo Jesus, the Regional Secretary for Tourism and Culture, believes that the pandemic may be the opportunity for the sector to build “a different future.”
António Trindade, CEO of the Porto Bay Group, further highlighted the importance of publicising the Region’s work in promoting the island’s as a safe destination, saying, “We believe the market is showing signs of recovery and the current figures are giving us confidence, despite the prospect of a challenging winter.”
