A headline in one of the papers today confirmed that the absence of contact between family members and those in care homes has created ‘terrible psychological consequences.’ What is worse, many health care experts, especially psychologist Lúcia Ferreira, claim that many of those who are in care homes will not die from Covid-19, but will die little by little from isolation and loneliness.
