Continente supermarket has reported that they are the first food distribution brand in Portugal to be distinguished with the ‘COVID SAFE’ seal. This announcement follows a recent audit performed by the Portuguese Association of Certification (APCER), which ensures that all Continente, Continente Modelo and Continente Bom Dia stores comply with official Covid-19 safety procedures.
According to their official statement, Madeira’s Continente stores, located in: Continente Modelo Machico Centro, Continente Modelo Santana, Continente Modelo Machico, Continente Modelo Camacha Shopping, Continente Modelo Caniço, Continente Modelo Cancela, Continente Seminar Model, Continente Model Viveiros, Continente Model Santo António, Continente Model São Martinho, Continente Model MadeiraShopping, Continente Model Estreito Câmara de Lobos, Continente Model Câmara de Lobos, Continente Model Ribeira Brava Meia Légua, Continente Model Ribeira Brava Centro have all received the ‘COVID SAFE’ Seal.
Developed by APCER, the ‘COVID SAFE’ seal is awarded to organisations which comply with several health and labour authority guidelines from the General Directorate of Health (DGS), Authority for Working Conditions (ACT) and the International Labor Organisation (ILO).
The independent audit process for Continente, Continente Modelo and Continente Bom Dia stores assessed the implementation of the company’s official Covid-19 health and safety procedures and practices.
Reading other reports, the company’s Madeira staff should also be commended for their care and consideration they have shown to their customers throughout the pandemic.
