Access to the pedestrian path of Levada dos Balcões at Ribeiro Frio is closed, as Águas e Residuos da Madeira (ARM ) are currently working on the areas water distribution network.
According to a press note, the works includes the constuction of a new water supply and distribution network for Ribeiro Frio, as well as building a Pumping and new Chlorination Station. In total the works represent an investment of approximately 600 thousand euros. The investment is co-financed with PO SEUR – Operational Programme for Sustainability and Efficiency in the Use of Resources.
