Just after midday yesterday, reports of a shooting in São Roque, Funchal were reported. The initial information was sketchy, only saying that the Public Security Police Rapid Response Brigade, and the Judicial Police were on site.

This morning passersby were shocked at the recent vandalism of the Municipal Garden, in Funchal, as plants had been pulled out of the ground and thrown onto a nearby pavement.
In March this year, sports and leisure company, Endemicxperiences, released photographs of ‘Porto dos Frades' which they described as an 'incredible place in Porto Santo,' only to return one month later, to find the area strewn with litter and graffiti; both of which they state, degrade nature, not enhance it!
