The Portuguese search and rescue team operating in Turkey during the aftermath of the February earthquakes were decorated today in Ankara, by Turkish President Recep Erdogan, revealed the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (ANEPC).

The Regional Civil Protection Service, IP-RAM, yesterday expressed with the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC), their immediate availability and interest in the inclusion of multidisciplinary teams, integrated into international missions under the European Civil Protection Mechanism, to be eventually deployed to earthquake affected territories in Turkey and Syria.
Portugal has expressed its availability to work alongside other international support agencies to provide search and rescue and medical assistance to the areas affected by this morning's earthquake in Turkey.
