Anyone who tests positive for Covid-19 in Madeira is no longer obliged to self-isolate from tomorrow, Wednesday the 16th of March, providing they are asymptomatic.

The mandatory use mask wearing in all public spaces came into force at midnight last night, coinciding with the Regional Governments (RG) extension of a 'State of Calamity,' which will remain in force until the 31st of August.
Following the Regional Government's compulsory mask wearing decision yesterday, the 28th of July, the coalition government has once again reiterated that masks must be worn in all public spaces from the 1st of August, including streets, beaches and mountain areas.
