The Liberal Initiative (IL) was today "very optimistic" about a favourable vote by the PS to its proposal for a single IRS rate for workers who earn up to half the salary of Assembly deputies, stating that if this does not happen, it will be a " enormous hypocrisy."

The PSD Parliamentary Group complained yesterday that the Madeiran economy is at the mercy of the Government of the Republic, as lack of funding for new equipment at the airport is creating an unstable platform from which Madeira has to operate from.
According to the figures released on Monday with regard to the 2022 State Budget - Regional Finance Law - Madeira will receive 217,210,880 million euros, 15 million less than this year (232,260,213 million euros).
