Seconded to the parish of Tililngdon, the Reverend Dolores has been presented with a challenge.

She’s living in an antiquated house and she’s cold. Furthermore, her new Bishop, Bishop Alice does not approve of ‘showgirls in dog collars.’

Determined to prove the Bishop wrong, she sets about warming her house – who cares if it smells of horse! There is the crochet club, jumble sale, and soup run to organise. And this year, the church bells will ring, no matter what threats are made. Even more so, the newly formed choir will spread a little joy this Christmas, even though they can’t sing – yet! And with a little help from Phil, her bassist, this year could be full of magic.

However, she has a fight on her hands as the townies out in Knob Hill – she must stop calling it that, are trying to stop her from ringing her bells. When Krystal with a K decides to do some volunteer work, Dolores sets out to see just how committed she really is.

Up to her ears in granny squares and squawking choristers, Dolores is revving up for Christmas, yet a deeper darker secret is beginning to emerge!

A secret that could blow the whole parish apart and put Dolores in danger.

António Costa Visits Madeira

The Prime Minister of Portugal, António Costa, will be visiting Madeira on Sunday to present the Socialist Party's global strategy called 'Recover Portugal, Guarantee the Future,' which will open the party's XXIII National Congress at midday on the 6th of June at the Casino da Madeira .

Comply With Vaccination Rules, Or Else!

The Prime Minister of Portugal, António Costa, categorically stated today that anyone abusing or failing to comply with the current Covid-19 vaccination rules will be punished, and has asked all citizens to "trust” health technicians and authorities.

I Will Wait My Turn

Paulo Neves, the Madeiran Deputy to the Assembly of the Republic, has stated that he will wait his turn for a Covid - 19 vaccination and that he does not need to be a priority candidate. On his Facebook page he wrote: "As a deputy, I waive that possibility of priority and I will wait for my turn to be vaccinated." However, he did agree that some politicians should be vaccinated early.

First Vaccines Will Arrive by 31st December

The initial 9,750 vaccines that have been set aside for Madeira will arrive by the end of the year, and not the first week of January, as originally thought. During a telephone call between the President of Madeira, Miguel Albuquerque and the Prime Minister of Portugal, António Costa, the Portuguese representative confirmed that the first batch of vaccines will arrive in Madeira between the 28th and 29th of this month.
