Pedro Ramos, the Regional Secretary for Health and Civil Protection, has confirmed that the Regional Government will not be relaxing the mandatory mask wearing and curfews regulations for the foreseeable future.
Speaking to JM journalists today, the Regional Director of Health, Herberto Jesus, has categorically stated that the current pandemic health and safety measures will remain in force in Madeira and Porto Santo until the end of September.
Despite the easing of restrictions, the current curfew from 1 am to 5 am is in place, although, many may not think so while walking through the Old Town of Funchal.
