The Regional Directorate for Health has confirmed that as of today, June the 28th, Madeira has registered its first Monkeypox case.
Herberto Jesus, the Regional Director of Health, today confirmed that Madeira registers on average 500 new cases of Covid-19 per day, and furthermore, rejected any idea of returning to mandatory mask wearing, stating that all the care and medications needed to combat the virus were now at hand.
