The Regional Command of PSP Madeira has confirmed that following an investigation into drug trafficking, four men were arrested on the 9th of February in the municipalities of Funchal and São Vicente.

The Regional Command of the Public Security Police of Madeira released a press release today stating that yesterday in Porto Santo two foreigners aged 23 and 18 were detained for drug trafficking. The press release went on to say that:
According to a Navy source, a suspicious package was found at sea by crew members of the NRP Mondego during a routine exercise.
In a statement issued by the Regional Command of Public Security Police (PSP) Madeira, they confirmed that they had arrested a 39-year-old man from Funchal, who was in possession of 21 individual doses of cocaine, for drug trafficking.
Following the raid this morning on a house in Câmara de Lobos, the PSP have confirmed that two citizens aged 21 and 58 years old, both born and living in Câmara de Lobos were arrested. In addition small quantities of liamba, hashish, heroin and mephedrone were seized as well as a 'butterfly' knife, 6.35mm ammunition, a grenade, 120 mm mortar and an 81 mm mortar."
The Regional Command of the Public Security Police (PSP) of Madeira confirmed in a press statement that a series of police initiatives are being undertaken within the municipality of Funchal, focusing on drug related crimes including the consumption and trafficking of narcotic drugs. As such, they recently seized 18,507 individual doses of Hasish and 505 grams of Mepherone, a psychoactive drug also known as Bloom.
The Public Security Police (PSP) arrested a 28-year-old male citizen from Funchal for drug trafficking, following a search at his house yesterday (06/07), as part of a police operation to combat the selling of drugs in 'sensitive' urban areas.
