While the Municipality of Câmara de Lobos congratulates itself on the new proposed cable car project, which many believe will bring 'added value' to Curral das Freiras and Jardim da Serra, especially as this is an already popular tourist attraction, not everyone is happy with the new idea.
A new 3 km cable car, costing 35 million euros is to be installed between Montado do Paredão, Curral das Freiras and Boca da Corrida, Jardim da Serra. As such, it will become the second longest cable car route in Europe, and will create a further 50 jobs.
