On Friday, the 4th of September at 3 pm, the Madeira Wine Company will launch five new wines during an online event on its Facebook and Instagram social media pages.

The Regional Secretary for Agriculture and Rural Development, Humberto Vasconcelos has announced that this year, the Madeira archipelago grape harvest is expected to reach 4,200 tonnes; higher than last years figure of 3,960 tonnes.
The Estreito Câmara de Lobos Parish Council and Estreito Cultural and Recreational Association (ACRE) has announced that, in view of the current pandemic and due to health and safety guidelines with regards to social distancing, they have cancelled the Estreito 2020 Harvest Festival which was scheduled to take place between the 11th and 13th of September in the village of Estreito de Câmara de Lobos.
During a presidential visit to Lamaceiros, Porto Moniz, where Miguel Albuquerque visited a three-hectare vineyard owned by Manuel Ramos Lucas and dedicated to the growing of Verdelho grapes, the President assured farmers that the government will continue to support agriculture and entrepreneurs within the sector.
