Igor Veloza, the father of the nine-year-old girl who has been missing, along with her mother, since Saturday, has told local newspaper JM that he has received confirmation from the Public Security Police that both mother, who is his ex-partner, and daughter are in the UK, having boarded the 12.20 flight on Saturday.
Talking to the newspaper he said, “I don’t know anything about my daughter right now. I haven’t had any contact with the girl or her mother until now.”
It was the girls father who raised the alarm when her mother didn’t drop her off to stay with him on Saturday night. Trying to find out what was going on, he visited her current partner only to be told that Álison Vieira, who is six months pregnant, had left with her daughter and taken some clothes with her.
Outraged and hurt, the father claims that he didn’t sign any paperwork authorising his daughters departure and that he never thought that his ex would run away with his child. Finally, he uttered a plea to be allowed to keep in touch with his daughter and know that she is well, as he is inconsolable and desperate without her, and has asked that if anyone knows where she is, to contact him on 969 860 822.
