A video showing a group of four cyclists riding on the Expressway (VR1) is being widely disseminated on social networks and generating criticism from users and drivers.
According to what was possible to assess, the situation occurred yesterday, around 14:00, on the section between the Quinta Grande junction and the Câmara de Lobos junction, in the direction of Ribeira Brava-Machico.
The cyclists, allegedly tourists, appear to be pedaling on a road where bicycles are prohibited.
The images quickly began to circulate on the internet, with several comments warning of the danger of the situation, both for the cyclists themselves and for the motorists who circulated on that section.
So far, there is no indication of intervention by the authorities or registration of incidents related to the case.
