The Funchal City Council (CMF) has scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, the 2nd of September, the presentation of the conclusions of the Investigation Commission’s report on the Cortel Housing Cooperative.
The session will take place at 15:00 in the Noble Hall, and it is expected that the long-awaited responses over the controversial fraction licensing for local accommodation (AL) in the ResidĂŞncias Cortel apartment block, built with public support, in Funchal, by the Cortel housing cooperative, will be heard.
The building was inaugurated at the end of 2024, and the AL situation was denounced on the 26th of July 2025 by members of the Confiança coalition.
