A woman was rescued at around midnight near the Pinnacle viewpoint, after leaving her 6-year-old child inside her car as she headed to what is becoming a ‘suicide point.’
The plea for help was provided by an unexpected means, as the child, realising that something was wrong, waved to a passing car and managed to get the driver’s attention.
The driver stopped immediately and spoke to the child. Understanding the situation, he quickly alerted the Public Security Police.
Fortunately, the woman was rescued and is under observation.
