Alburquerque – Blackout Would be Simpler in Madeira

Portugal is suffering from a blackout. If this had happened in Madeira, says President Miguel Albuquerque, it would have been immediately detected.

Miguel Albuquerque justifies his comments by admitting that Madeira is “a smaller ecosystem.” Therefore, it would be easier to detect the origin of the failure in one of the electricity power plants.

For now, he says, the airport and other services dependent on the State remain affected.
