A 1.5 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 05:20 this morning off the south coast of the Desertas Islands.
Due to the size of the quake, less than 2.0 on the Richter scale, this quake is classified as a ‘microearthquake,’ not being perceptible by humans and only detected by seismographs.
