On the 28th of October, Air Baltic inaugurated the first flight on its Funchal – Riga route, which will operate three times a week.
“We are proud to welcome airBaltic as the latest airline to operate at Madeira Airport, marking the start of its scheduled flights from Riga. This connection will connect Madeira to the capital of Latvia and will provide convenient connections to and from nearby cities such as Vilnius, Tallinn, and Helsinki,” said Karen Strougo, CCO of ANA|VINCI Airports. “This operation results from the commitment of our route development teams and the strong collaboration with our stakeholders and partners. Together, we have been expanding Madeira’s connectivity, contributing to the Region’s tourism and economic development.”
