The PSD-M and the CDS-PP signed, this morning, a parliamentary agreement with the aim of “ensuring political stability and governability to the Autonomous Region of Madeira, in the XV legislature 2024/2028.”
A press statement reveals:
“That although the two parties “have different histories and identities and, without giving up their respective political and strategic autonomy, they have thus agreed on a set of principles by which they will govern themselves, in order to ensure the political stability that has always been assumed as a priority.”
“In this way, the necessary conditions are created so that, fulfilling what was the intention declared, from the outset, the Budget and the Government Programme are approved as quickly as possible, in favour of the stability that families, workers, and companies need so much.”
Interestingly enough, when speaking to other people about a possible PS/JPP government some were afraid of reprisals for having voted PSD in the past and others were afraid of losing their jobs.
