An innovative, technological stage will be available to all those artists out there, whether it is singing or music, the stage has been set on the terrace of the terrace of the MadeiraShopping shopping centre, from this Saturday (20th) until the 2nd of June.
To mark this innovation, two special concerts are scheduled. Beatriz Abrunhosa, who started singing on the streets of the island in 2020, will be the first to perform, on Saturday, at 5:00 pm, and promises to excite the audience with her R&B rhythms, as well as her new single ‘Sensação’.
At 6:00 pm, attention will be focused on MELA, the stage name of Mariana Gonçalves, who is preparing to release her album of originals this year, having participated in The Voice, in 2016, and the 2024 Song Festival with her song ‘Water.’ In addition to being a performer, she is also a composer and lyrist, a universe that she reconciles with that of Medicine.
“It is with great enthusiasm that we see the launch of Openstage, putting our space back at the service of Culture. In this way, we reinforce the support to emerging artists, providing them with an innovative stage, with a differentiating technology that gives them autonomy to schedule their performances and show their talent,” says Alberto José Pereira, Director of MadeiraShopping.
The implementation in Portugal began through Sonae Sierra and will take place in four shopping centres managed by it, in a roadshow format. The project debuted at NorteShopping, in Matosinhos. The next destination, in June, is the Vasco da Gama Centre, in Lisbon, from where it leaves, in September, for AlgarveShopping, highlighting the talent of the southern region of the country until the end of October.
