Due to the large influx of customers at the three service counters all queueing for the +65 Social Bus Pass, which is now free, Horários do Funchal (HF) has adopted an emergency initiative.
So, until the 1st of March 2024, HF will allow “all users of its public transport service, aged 65 or over, as of 01/01/2024, can board and use the HF transport service by simply presenting the driver with their Citizen Card or Identity Card.”
HF also decided to “create specific dates for issuing and loading the +65 Social Bus Pass, namely: from 08/01/2024 to 21/01/2024 – for customers aged between 65 and 74 years, inclusive and from the 05/02/2024 to 18/02/2024 – for customers over the age of 75.”
The company appeals to new users aged 65 and over to go to the HF service desks during the dates indicated, and if possible, not leave it until the last possible moment, to avoid large queues.
