A French national who was visiting the region for the second time was robbed while walking between Encumeada and Pico Ruivo.
The assailant stole the victim’s mobile phone, cash and credit cards. The case happened over a week ago, before Carnival, and was reported via social networks by a friend who wanted to highlight the increasing numbers of aggression throughout the island.
A report has been filed with the Public Security Police in Ribeira Brava.
