The Regional Secretary for Tourism and Culture, Eduardo Jesus, and the Mission Structure for the Commemorations of the V Centenary of Circum-Navigation, commanded by the Portuguese navigator Fernão de Magalhães 2019-2022 (EMCFM), will hold at the Cultural and Congresses of Porto Santo, the international conference ‘The Atlantic Islands in Maritime Expansion – From Porto Santo to Planet Ocean’ on the 19th and 20th of September.
With the participation of regional, national and international researchers, the conference will address interesting and useful topics for teaching practice at different levels of education, providing an opportunity to promote knowledge about the innovative characteristics of Fernão de Magalhães’ mission.
The conference, which was classified as a training action by the Regional Directorate of Culture, will be attended by the Regional Secretary for Tourism and Culture, and the president of EMCFM, José Marques.
