The Public Security Police (PSP) announced today that they had retrieved €44,700 and gold jewellery which had recently been stolen from a house. The raid took place this morning in the parish of Caniçal, and a 40-year-old woman was arrested.
In a statement, a PSP officer said:
“After they had received the complaint by the injured party, investigations were carried out, and it was possible to identify the perpetrator of the crime, especially when they took into account the woman’s close relationship with the owner of the residence, and her subsequent behaviour after the disappearance of the money and jewellery.”
