Ryanair – Madeira Hub Connections Start Tomorrow

The President of the Regional Government will attend Ryanair’s inaugural flight from Nuremberg, Germany, tomorrow, Tuesday, the 29th of March, at 2:30 pm, signifying the start of the Irish company’s regular air operations to and from Madeira. 

In total, the company will offer, in IATA summer 2022 (from the 27th of March to the 29th of October) a total of 10 routes in seven countries (Portugal, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Ireland, Italy and Belgium).

The company has two aircraft based at Madeira Airport. In terms of operations, it will make two daily flights from Lisbon and one flight from Porto. These national flights will be joined by international operations from Germany (Nuremberg), Belgium (Brussels), France (Paris and Marseille), Ireland (Dublin) and Italy (Milan), and the UK (London, Manchester). 

There will be 42 weekly flights with a total of 8,106 seats available, for both inbound and outbound flights.

Ryanair will use a Boeing 737-800, with 189 seats for all its Lisbon based flights, while all Funchal based flights will be onboard a Boeing 737-MAX8-200, with 195 seats.
