Due to electrical system work, the Funchal City Council (CMF), has issued the following road traffic information with regards to the Via 25 de Abril tunnel. All work will be carried out between 21:00 and 04:00 on the following dates.
– 27th of January until the 10th of February, Via 25 de Abril, on the section between Largo Severiano Ferraz and Rua das Maravilhas, as well as the access extension from Rua Dr. Brito Câmara to Via 25 Abril (São João tunnel).
– 10th of February, Via 25 de Abril, on the section between Rua Alferes Veiga Pestana and Rua da Ribeira de João Gomes (two tunnels).
– 17th and 24th of February, Via 25 de Abril, on the section between the access extension to Calçada da Encarnação and Rua do Ribeirinho da Pena (Alferes Veiga Pestana tunnel).
The CMF asks drivers to obey all diversion signs, and thanks them for their cooperation at this time.
