A video circulating on social media shows a confrontation over a parking space in Porto Moniz on Saturday, 26th of September.
In the footage, a man stands beside a car and appears to try to prevent its driver from entering the space. The driver continues forward and parks. The man then approaches the car, strikes its bonnet several times, and appears to damage a wing mirror. Fortunately, the driver remained inside their vehicle. The aggressor later left in another car.
It is unclear what led to the dispute or whether a complaint was made to the authorities. Although the video has prompted comments about tourist behaviour in Madeira, the footage does not establish the identities, nationalities or visitor status of those involved.
