An unusual sight caught the attention of motorists and pedestrians in Funchal after a motorcyclist was filmed transporting two large suitcases by dragging them along the road.
The incident occurred on Rua do Visconde de Anadia, where the motorcycle was seen travelling behind a bus while the luggage scraped across the asphalt.
Video footage shows the passenger holding onto the handles of both suitcases as they trailed behind the moving motorcycle in what appeared to be an improvised method of transporting the baggage.
The unusual scene attracted plenty of attention from onlookers, many of whom were left astonished by the unconventional approach.
Although no incident was reported, the footage has prompted questions over both the safety of the method and the potential risk it posed to other road users.
