The Madeira Citizen’s Shop will now include a Directorate-General for Natural Resources, Security and Maritime Services (DGRM) service desk, following a cooperation protocol signed by the Regional Secretariat for Finance, through the Agency for Innovation and Modernisation of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, and the DGRM.
The agreement establishes the installation and operation of the DGRM services, allowing citizens and companies to access a central contact point to deal with various issues related to maritime administration, maritime safety, certification and registration of vessels, licensing of maritime activities, management of marine natural resources, fishing and aquaculture.
The protocol was signed by the Directorate-General for Natural Resources, Security and Maritime Services, represented by Vice-Admiral António Coelho Cândido, as Director-General of this institution, and the Agency for Innovation and Modernization of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, represented by its president, Hélder Pestana.
According to the protocol, the integration of this new counter is part of the strategy of administrative modernisation and concentration of public services in the Citizen’s Shop of Madeira, reinforcing proximity to citizens and simplifying access to services provided by the public administration.
