The Regional Command of the Public Security Police in Madeira seized seven illegal weapons, classified as class A under the Legal Regime of Weapons and Ammunition.
The press release stated that the seizure took place after the PSP gathered information, which ultimately led to the competent judicial authority issuing search warrants.
While executing the warrants, the PSP conducted searches in homes in the municipality of Câmara de Lobos, seizing the weapons in question, which were intended for sale.
The PSP reinforces that “it will continue to develop prevention, inspection and criminal investigation actions, with a view to combating the illegal possession, circulation and sale of weapons, contributing to the security and tranquility of the community.”
