Music Concerts

The Conservatory – School of Arts of Madeira, Eng. Luiz Peter Clode is staying true to its commitment to artistic training and community connection by continuing the Student Concert Cycle. This initiative brings to the stage of its Noble Hall a fresh series of performances featuring students from the Professional Instrumentalist Course, the Professional Jazz Instrumentalist Course, and Specialised Artistic Education.

Between the 14th of April 14 and the 19th of May, starting at 20:30 (with an extra concert at 19:00 on the 8th of May), these concerts showcase emerging talent and the work developed at the Conservatory.

“The Student Concert Cycle, which takes place in the Noble Hall of the Conservatory’s headquarters, is a moment of sharing and openness to the community that aims to allow students to experience performance on stage, maturing their artistic sense while deepening their musical technique.

The community will be able to follow the progress of the training of these students and enjoy musical moments of excellence as a result of the work that is developed by students and teachers in the classroom, in the classes of: violin, piano, guitar, cello, mandolin, braguinha, recorder, percussion, and chamber music.”

The programme includes 11 thematic concerts, including ‘From the Baroque to Romanticism II’ (April 14th), ‘Pianíssimo III’ (April 17th), ‘On a night of strings’ (April 21st) and ‘Style and virtuoso II’ (May 19th), involving dozens of student soloists and repertoires of composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Frédéric Chopin, Ludwig van Beethoven and Antonio Vivaldi.

These concerts are free, but seating is strictly limited.
