A man in a motorised wheelchair was intercepted by the authorities today while ‘driving’ along the highway towards Santa Cruz, generating concern among other motorists.
According to several drivers, the individual was driving along the right-hand side of the expressway on the hard shoulder, while circulating motorists tried to alert him to the dangers to himself and other road users.
Later on, a driver reported to JM that the man had been stopped by a GNR patrol and removed from the road.
