Between 00:00 and 13:00 today, the weather in Madeira was marked by relatively low temperatures, especially in the mountainous areas, as well as periods of precipitation and moderate to strong winds in several parts of the archipelago.
The intense cold and snowfall in the highlands. In Pico do Areeiro, thermometers dropped to -1.3°C, with a temperature of -0.9°C at 1 pm, showing conditions of intense cold.
In Santana, the rainfall record was significant, accumulating 31.3 mm since midnight, with a temperature of 7.6°C. There was also snowfall in Pico Ruivo, in the area between Pico das Pedras and Achada do Teixeira, which has already closed the road.
