In the last few hours, a video circulating on social media shows a young man jumping over a homeless man lying on the pavement, on Rua dos Aranhas, in Funchal, has gone viral.
The images, recorded in the vicinity of the Citizen’s Shop, illustrate the moment when a young man uses the body of the homeless person as an obstacle for a jump, while another person films the event.
The record captures the individual running towards the man, who remains motionless next to a building pillar. The incident occurred in an area of high pedestrian traffic in the Madeiran capital.
The video has received a lot of backlash, with many on social media expressing disgust over exploiting society’s most vulnerable for digital content.
