A 73-year-old Finnish tourist was assaulted on Friday near the Farmers’ Market in Funchal after being hit with a stone.
The man suffered head and shoulder injuries, and was assisted by the Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters and transported to the A & E Department of the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital.
