Conservatorio Students Exel

Two students from the Conservatory – School of Arts of Madeira stood out in the 3rd International Online Music Competition ‘Colibri.’ An international competition that previously placed a young cellist from the music school, reaffirming the quality of artistic education at the Conservatory.

In the category of Piano – 10/11 years old, Emília Matylda Drak, a 1st-grade student, was placed third. While in the Piano category – 16/17 years old, Marta Raquel Branco Alves, student of the 2nd Professional Course of String and Keyboard, took first place. Both students are taught by Iryna Kózina, whose pedagogical work has been widely recognised.

The 3rd International Online Music Competition is organised by COLIBRI Arts and Music, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion of musical performance and artistic creativity at a global level. Although the participation is remote, the Greek associated event offers prizes that may include in-person participation or recognition in the European music scene.

An evaluation of the competitors is carried out by an international jury of specialists, ensuring high-level criteria: technique, musicality, interpretive expression, and creativity are some of the aspects observed in the performances.
