Last year, the daily average number of cars on the via rápida rose to 39.6 thousand, while main roads saw an average of 7.9 thousand vehicles.
These figures mark increases of 5.2% and 7.4%, respectively. Light vehicle traffic grew by 5.2% on the via rápida and 7.3% on normal roads.
Heavy vehicle circulation increased by 2.2% on the highway and a notable 21% on general roads.
Overall, traffic grew by 4.5% on the highway and 13.6% on general roads. According to the Regional Directorate of Roads (DRE), last year’s traffic counts were up 4.8% on the via rápida and 6.7% on main roads compared to 2024.
