Authorities are still looking for two people who disappeared in Madeira during the Christmas period. Taking to social media networks, the families of both families have repeatedly asked citizens to try and find their loved ones.
The most worrying case is that of Maria Moniz, 82, who has been missing for more than a week. Maria was last seen on the 19th of December in the Santa Maria Maior. Since then, several family members have visited her habitual places in an attempt to trace her movements. So far, they have been unsuccessful, and have asked neighbours to help them.
João Gregório de Freitas, 59, born in Porto da Cruz, also remains missing. He was last seen in Machico, Portela, and Maroços. The family asks if anyone has any information to contact the Public Security Police. Due to health problems, João de Freitas may be disoriented.
In both cases, anyone who has any information regarding the two missing persons to immediately contact the Public Security Police (PSP).
