Porto Santo Ferry Maintenance Schedule

Porto Santo Line (PSL) has announced that the Lobo Marinho will undergo its annual maintenance starting from the 6th of January. Its last trip for the next five weeks will be on Monday, January the 5th, departing Funchal at 08:00 and returning from Porto Santo at midday.

During the maintenance period, and despite stressing that it has no legal obligation, the PSL states that it will guarantee air transport between islands exclusively for residents in Porto Santo, as long as they are registered on the SIMplifica platform of the Regional Government of Madeira, as required by the airline.

Up to 50 seats will be available per day and per route, for a total of 100 seats per day, except on Tuesdays.

The company also reaffirms its commitment to ensure the regular transport of goods between Madeira and Porto Santo, ensuring the continuity of operations and support for local commerce.

A stopover of container ships is planned on Tuesdays, in accordance with contractual obligations with the Regional Government, except in exceptional situations. In addition, PSL will provide a second stopover on Fridays, not mandatory, dedicated to the transport of perishable, fresh, or dry goods, also subject to exceptions.

To minimize any logistical difficulties arising from the immobilisation of the ship, PSL will provide dry and refrigerated containers at the Port of Porto Santo, with free storage for traders, as in previous years.
